    Simple McAfee. remove and replace.

McAffee is a frequent cause of BSOD's. I would remove and replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials AT LEAST TO TEST!

    Mcafee

I joined Sevenforums to comment on this post. I have Mcafee suite through Cox communications and it updated right around the time this (BSOD) started. I uninstalled and went with MS Security Essentials as recommended. Since that time I have been downloading flawlessly.

This was not my first hit in my research, and the opportunity to update all of my (barely year old) drivers was certainly welcome, but in the end it was Mcafee. Thanks gents for a successful fix.
