Can you easily reproduce the problem? Start task manager: Ctrl+Shift+Esc; click Show processes from all users. Go to the Performance tab. See how your Memory behaves while extracting. I am wondering if your 2GB is being maxed out by the decompression process.

64-Bit Windows 7 really should not be run without 4 GB of RAM; 2 GB is the minimum requirement, but it is not enough if doing intensive application work.

I've reinstalled Windows 7, but on a newly installed, clean OS the problem still stays. On Windows 8.1(which I had only for a while because it was awful) it was the same. I'm not sure if...

BSOD: system isn't saving the dump files anymore
I've had several BSOD stops lately (been working on finding the problem for some time) but haven't had a new memory.dmp or minidump file saved since 2/23. As far as I can tell, the settings are correct. Any ideas what's causing this? Hard to upload the current dump files when there aren't any!
