Hey guys. I had the motherboard sent in, it came back fine as Asus says. I'm experiencing more problems, though. System_Service_Exception, BCCode 3b, I'll attach my dump files. This has happened only when I play Diablo III, and I have since updated my drivers, or tried to best I could. I will also test each individual RAM stick through memtest again.
Once again, these are my specs.
No original OS.
Windows 7 full retail, reformatted in January.
CPU, HDD, MoBo, October 2010
PSU, RAM, GPU, November 2011
Specs in profile, but just for reference...
MoBo: ASUS M4A88T-M USB 3.0
PSU: Corsair TX650W
CPU: AMD Phenom II 3.1 GHz
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1Tb 7200.12
RAM: G. Skill Ripjaw series, DDR3 1600 8Gb (4Gb x 2)

Problem Devices:Code:AODDriver4.1 ROOT\LEGACY_AODDRIVER4.1\0000 This device is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all its drivers installed.
- Use the following sites to help with the AODDriver4.1 issue. Rage3D Discussion Area - View Single Post - The AODDriver4.1 service failed .... Cat 12.2 megaproblems
Device Manager : Hidden Devices may help supplement the steps in that link.
Please remove Daemon Tools, as it uses a driver called dtsoftbus01.sys that is known to cause BSODs with Verifier enabled, and it prevents determining driver problems using Verifier.
I prefer TotalMounter as my CD/DVD virtualization software as it allows me to burn images to a virtual CD/DVD if I just want an ISO file instead of a disc, and it is free.
Many use MagicISO - Convert BIN to ISO, Create, Edit, Burn, Extract ISO file, ISO/BIN converter/extractor/editor as well, which is also free.
You have a 0x124 hardware bugcheck. If the system is still under warranty, I would recommend sending it in to have diagnostic tests done and any bad hardware replaced.
WarningBefore you proceed with the following, answer these two questions: Are you still under warranty? Does your warranty allow you to open up the machine to check hardware? If you are unsure of the answers to these questions, contact your system manufacturer. WARNING: The steps that follow can void your warranty!!!
For your hardware stop 0x124 crash, read through Stop 0x124 - what it means and what to try and use the following hardware checks to supplement that link.
- If you are overclocking any hardware, please stop.
- Monitor temperatures during the following tests.
Use the following programs to monitor the temperatures.
- Real Temp is a good CPU temperature monitor.
- Speccy - System Information - Free Download will monitor all hardware temperatures.
- HWiNFO, HWiNFO32 & HWiNFO64 - Hardware Information and Analysis Tools can be inaccurate for CPU temperatures, but is a good program for GPU temperature monitoring.
- Use FurMark: VGA Stress Test, Graphics Card and GPU Stability Test, Burn-in Test, OpenGL Benchmark and GPU Temperature | oZone3D.Net to test the graphics card GPU. Let it run until the GPU temperatures even out or until the GPU temperatures reach a dangerous level (you can find the max temperature for your card on either the nVidia or AMD sites; if you are not sure, ask us). The goal is to get a steady temperature, find out if the GPU is overheating, or to see if there are any artifacts present in the test itself: look for strange pixelated patterns on the screen or colors that do not look like they belong. Then use the |MG| Video Memory Stress Test 1.7.116 Download to test your graphics card memory. Let the memory test run for at least seven passes; the more the better.
- Run Hardware - Stress Test With Prime95 to determine any hardware problems. Run all three tests for a few hours each. If you get errors, stop the test and post back here.
- Follow the steps for doing CPU stress test using IntelBurnTest
- Run the boot version of Memtest86+ paying close attention to Parts 2 and 3 of the tutorial. Also, in case Memtest86+ misses anything and comes up with no errors, run the extended version of the Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool for at least five passes. These you may want to run overnight since they take a long time to complete (run them an hour before bed each of the next two nights and check before going to sleep that they are still running).
For Part 3: If You Have Errors: If you swap any memory components, follow these steps for ESD safety:
- Shut down and turn off your computer.
- Unplug all power supplies to the computer (AC Power then battery for laptops, AC power for desktops)
- Hold down the power button for 30 seconds to close the circuit and ensure all power drains from components.
- Make sure you are grounded by using proper grounding techniques, i.e. work on an anti-static workbench, anti-static desk, or an anti-static pad. Hold something metallic while touching it to the anti-static surface, or use an anti-static wristband to attach to the anti-static material while working. If you do not have an anti-static workbench, desk, or pad, you can use your computer tower/case by finding a metal hold in it, such as a drive bay.
Once these steps have been followed, it is safe to remove and replace components within your computer.
Remember to read closely through Stop 0x124 - what it means and what to try for the crash.
My PC is custom built, but thankfully everything is under warranty, including the CPU which I believe may be the problem. What is the max temp that my HD radeon 6850 can take? I've been looking at the manual, don't see the numbers Also, I removed daemon tools, and the AODdriver with the / ! \ by it, but i'm having trouble removing the other one with Microsoft autorun tool. It says to remove the AODdriver without a path, but to me, they both look like it.
My CPU idles at around 40, GPU at around 44, and when I came out of a game just now, 50 and 58 respectively.
I just blue screened again twice playing a game, with error code 1E. My HDD passed SeaDOS tools, and I'll run memtest tonight with separate sticks/slots. I'd upload the newest dumps, but they don't seem to be there. I reran the dump program and they didn't show from today (right now).
Thanks guys
Also, as far as I *know* nothing in my comp should be overclocked in anyway. The BIOS was reset lately, and the only thing i changed was disabling Cool n' Quiet.
Just to supplement, here are two screenshots I took. The first one are 3 programs that I found with no paths. The second is the AOD drivers that I'm supposed to delete, but haven't. In device manager, I deleted AODdriver 4.1 since it had the ! as instructed. What am I supposed to do?

You only needed to remove the AODDriver with the exclamation by it. That should resolve that problem.
Most ATI cards can get up to 105 C before they stop working properly. I always advise anything over 95 C is bad. You are well below that, so no worries there.
If you believe it is the processor, the Prime95 and Intel Burn Test should reveal it as a problem.
I'm getting ready to run those first. The reason why I suspect the CPU is from previous testing. Beforehand I thought it was my motherboard, but that came back from Asus saying it was fine. CPU is the only thing I have left to replace. Also, how should my ram be placed in the slots? Going by the manual, it should be slots A1 and A2... I can't get a clear answer from anyone.
Thank you for the info!
Also, I just noticed via the thermal monitors that my RAM is 11-11-11-28, CR 2T, tRC 39. Should I reduce the timings to 9-9-9-24? and 1T?
I was running Prime95, and an hour in, it crashed! Quota_underflow, BCCode 21
I'm stupid excited right now, does this mean it's my CPU? Thank GOD it's under warranty still and cheap to ship!
bump for question on ram timings and to know whether or not I should run the Intel test as well
