I would suggest running offline scans (scans outside Windows) by using some bootable antivirus/malware removal tools:
Seems the Microsoft Standalone System Sweeper has been removed...

Back from spring break, time to be productive.

I have a bit of an issue using the bitdefender CD, I cannot access my hard drive (Listed as LocalDisk-0)

Upon clicking "scan now" and selecting my hard drive, the program closes immediately.
I tried just manually typing out the address (Being LocalDisk-0) and I was given an access is denied error, the folder could not be created.

However, I can access my harddrive through the desktop without a problem.
Any ideas?

Sadly, no luck.

Do you think the fact that the offline version of windows defender probably uses the same coding language as windows any virus could hide itself? (That is if it executed any files from my hard drive at all.)

Most viruses are designed so they are difficult to remove. Many have been discovered and antivirus software and malware software have definitions developed to stop them. Unfortunately, no matter how up to date definitions are, there are viruses that have not been included because they were developed recently or the software company has not yet discovered a particular virus.

If you have the variant of the virus that it sounds like you do, there are only a handful of ways to remove it. Superantispyware detects fakehdd and fakerean viruses (viruses that infect the computer and ask you to install software to remove them). The Fakerean removal tool also is able to remove such viruses and fix the system file setup so your files are put back where they belong if they were moved by the virus. There is also an unhide tool developed as freeware that you can find, but I do not believe it removes the virus, only reorganizes your data as it should be. I would recommend one of the first two methods.

Well, I tried the tool several times. It seems to end with a syntax error and prompt me with. The prompt is titled "You are about to be logged off" with content, "Windows will shut down in less than a minute."

The prompt looks the same as one i received daily with this virus before, after some virus scanning the prompt as yet to show up again, except for now after the tool errors.

EDIT: Nevermind, it said whatever variants of the certain virus were removed if present, then the prompt appeared.

If you are still having trouble ridding yourself of the virus and problems it created on the system, I suggest starting a thread in System Security - Windows 7 Forums because I have reached the end of my limited knowledge on the subject. There are experts there who can instruct you in troubleshooting steps and analyzing the complex logs for security checks.

Well, It seems like the solution exists yet, and my other thread became inactive. In my free time I've been buying computer parts for a new and improved PC. Which then I can just transfer what I need when I need it.

Anyway, Thanks again for your help! I'll mark this thread solved now.

You're welcome. Not sure what happened with the other thread. I was monitoring it, and it seemed your support dwindled. I probably should have messaged one of our security experts... Hindsight is 20/20.
