COM surrogate stopped working error - no solution seems to work

    The previous post helped me, so allow me to contribute something additional:

    "If you want to get rid of this error, as a temporal solution you can rename the ti_managers_proxy.dll file that is located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\TrueImageHome You can rename the file to, for example, ti_manager_proxy_1.dll
    This workaround will corrupt the sync overlays and the file version functionality."


    As of today, this is the latest workaround. And preferable to me as opposed to enabling services that I don't want to.
