It's called a TDR, or Timeout Detection & Recovery, designed to resuscitate life into a video card's drivers or the card itself once Windows sees that it's delayed in responding after a certain period of time. If this happens sequentially in rapid succession then Windows will BSOD because it's aware there's a problem.

If this occurs every time at startup, then some application of some sort is causing your graphics drivers to hang for whatever reason. This may also be caused by a bug in the drivers themselves or even the graphics card may be bad. I recommend that you go to the Asus website and find the drivers specific to your system and download any latest updates for all drivers, not just graphics drivers. Some other drivers may be holding up your graphics drivers, which is why I recommend you check for updates on all of them.

For more information on TDR errors, potential causes, and diagnostic tips and solutions, this article does a great job explaining it all.

i think it occurs at least 2-4 times a day at startup. it usually happens when i'm using battery as my power supply. i have already updated its graphic card driver on asus, made TDR delays, but still no changes. i ran memtest86 overnight with 13 passes and had no errors so i believe it has nothing to do with its memory. i'm still monitoring it. for now, i updated its display driver thru intels site and also downloaded .net framework 4.0.. no errors on startup for today hope it will last a day or two and i think i will be fine then as it always happen anytime everyday . anyways what are the chances of this laptop having a bad gpu? tnx sir for your response. i really appreciated it.
