C: is your system reserved partition. D: appears to be your system partition where Windows resides. Let us know once you have run the disk check on D: again. There are obviously some bad things going on with that partition. Do you have any important data you need to backup before proceeding with another check on D:?
Nothing important. Just large files that will be annoying to re-download
But here's the odd part...
It thinks my partition D: is a cd drive??
Under my computer my cd/dvd drives were labeled as E: and F:
However...

I take it you are viewing these through your Computer via Windows? I explained in a previous post that the partition scheme in the recovery environment (RE) is different than in Windows. I'll give you an example. The Windows scheme shows the drive letters in black. The RE: sees the drive letters that I have added in red:
Attachment 204558
BTW: the fact that Windows cannot correct the file system on your Windows drive indicates the drive is very likely failing.
I pretty much just said hell with it, got a new HDD, put it in and now it runs like a champ.
The drive was pretty much gone beyond repair.
+rep for all the help you gave me. I really appreciate it. It's not often you find people on the internet as willin to help as you.
Thanks!
