    Hi Zigzag,

Interesting, so Avast caused that one.

Yep I ran that file you linked to and have now installed MSE, ll stable so far. Can you see if Avast was also the cause of these other bluescreens (dump files attached).

As I did at one point before I did install MSE but was still getting bluescreens, but could it have been any 'remains' of Avast?

    Thanks again for your help.

    cheers

    Sam

The middle two (3/26) were corrupt so we cant tell. The first one doesnt appear to be related to Avast. It seems to point to HIDCLASS.SYS.

Removing Avast is easier to do.

    Hi Zigzag,

Hmm ok, that seems to be USB related. Can you see anything different in these three earlier dumps?

    cheers

    Sam

As I said two of four were corrupt with no info. One pointed to HIDCLASS, and that doesnt nec have to be USB It could be a built in fingerprint reader, etc.

    Hi Zigzag,

That .rar should have been a set of earlier bluescreen .dmp files which didn't include the two dated the 26th.

    They are :

    021412-29374-01.dmp
    031112-21777-01.dmp
    031312-19890-01.dmp

    Do you see those files?

    cheers

    They are :

021412-29374-01.dmp Not relevant because it is almost 8 weeks old.
    031112-21777-01.dmp Corrupt (no information)
    031312-19890-01.dmp Inconclusive.

    Do you see those files?

    cheers
