BSOD Random Occurrences(4E, 1A are main error codes)

Have you tried completely re-installing the LAN drivers?

1. First, download the latest driver for the LAN. You should download the driver from the motherboard site, or the laptop/desktop vendor driver support site. Then do the next steps.
2. Click Start Menu
3. Right Click My Computer/Computer
4. Click Manage
5. Click Device Manager from the list on the left
6. Expand Network adapters
7. Right click the Ethernet/LAN device
8. Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
9. Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device (if this option is available, otherwise just hit OK) and hit OK
10. Restart your computer only if Windows asks you to.
11. Install the latest driver for the device.

Alternatively:

1. Login as an adminstrative user.
2. First, download the latest driver for the LAN. You should download the driver from the motherboard site, or the laptop/desktop vendor driver support site. Then do the next steps.
3. Click Start Menu
4. Click Control Panel
5. Click Hardware and Sound
6. Click Device Manager (the last link under Devices and Printers)
7. Expand Network adapters
8. Right click the Ethernet/LAN device
9. Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
10. Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device (if this option is available, otherwise just hit OK) and hit OK
11. Restart your computer only if Windows asks you to.
12. Install the latest driver for the device.

If your computer was pre-made by a vendor, include the full model information as well as the manufacturer.

Hello writhziden. So earlier I tried a clean install of Windows with the hope that was the cause. But, sadley it didnt help. Aswell as installing fresh drivers. After everything I've done to figure out what could cause the BSOD's(Prime95, Multiple Memtests, Furmark, etc.) nothing helped. So I bought a new motherboard after having my PC checked. After I put in my new motherboard, later I got another BSOD this time eith error code a. I also noticed under devices and printers that I have a yellow flag for my PC under PCI simple comunications controller. I attached the dump file below. Maybe this could help find the real culprit of my BSODs.

For the Simple Communications Controller, install the chipset drivers. Those are some of the most important drivers to install for your system and may very well be the cause of your recent crashes. I could help you find the correct ones, but you have not yet filled in your system specs as I asked you to in my previous post.


Also, since the latest crash is pointing to memory, how many passes did you run Memtest86+ for? It should be run at least seven passes and more is better. It has taken some people up to 21 passes to find errors in their RAM.

Sorry about not filling my system specs, I was ready to fall asleep when I read your post. I must have skipped over it. It should be updated by the time you read this post. As for the Memtest I ran it for 3 passes on multiple occasions, but if you say it I should try for 7 passes, I'll be happy to try if it help finds the cause of the BSOD errors.

Chipset drivers can be installed from ASUS - Motherboards- ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77 -> Download -> OS: Windows 7 64bit -> Chipset -> Intel Chipset Driver V9.3.0.1019 for Windows XP 32bit & XP 64bit & Win7 32bit & Win7 64bit.

No problem. I do have a question. I had installed the chipset drivers earlier. Would I have to uninstall the drivers and re install them? Or do clean install of windows.

When did you install them?

After I installed the motherboard and Windows.

Just make sure you have the latest installed by trying to install the latest through your motherboard support site.

Also, when you replaced the motherboard, did you do another clean install of Windows 7?

Yes, after replacing the motherboard I did another clean install of Windows.
