5 bsod after i posted the message
I gave you the tests so you would have accurate testing info for the Prime95 and so you could see what other tests are available to test hardware.
Can you please upload the crash reports: https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...tructions.html ?
This is all the BSOD info most of it says the same thing though
Crashes are all network related. Since you network adapter drivers are up to date, I suspect a corrupted installation of avast! is causing the problem. To start, remove avast! antivirus. Do so with the avast! Uninstall Utility. Download a fresh copy of the avast! installer. Install avast! fresh.
If that does not work, remove avast! again with the avast! Uninstall Utility. Replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows to test.
I also heard that the Microsoft 'wifi virtual miniport adapter' might also be wearing out my wireless card.
Have you tried uninstalling all Network adapter drivers through Device Manager? That does include the Microsoft virtual miniport adapter drivers.
For each device listed under Network adapters in Device Manager (you won't be able to download the Microsoft drivers, and probably won't be able delete them, but that isn't a big deal):
- First, download the latest driver. Then do the next steps.
- Click Start Menu
- Right Click My Computer/Computer
- Click Manage
- Click Device Manager from the list on the left
- Find the device you are trying to uninstall by expanding the appropriate set of devices
- Right click the device
- Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
- Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device (if this option is available, otherwise just hit OK) and hit OK
- Restart your computer only if Windows asks you to.
- Install the latest driver for the device.
Alternatively:
- Login as an adminstrative user.
- First, download the latest driver. Then do the next steps.
- Click Start Menu
- Click Control Panel
- Click Hardware and Sound
- Click Device Manager (the last link under Devices and Printers)
- Find the device you are trying to uninstall by expanding the appropriate set of devices
- Right click the device
- Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
- Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device (if this option is available, otherwise just hit OK) and hit OK
- Restart your computer only if Windows asks you to.
- Install the latest driver for the device.
So far so good if i can get 30 days without another blue screen then ill consider it solved
Sounds good. Look forward to hearing back in 28-29 days whether the problem was solved. :)
so far so good waiting for the next 2 weeks to go by. Have a windows update error with Realtek software but i think that's a separate problem. Question is it ok to you avast antivirus?
