BSOD randomly - checked dmp files - 3 different reasons given

Hello,

I am running win7 x64 on an HP p6653.
-5GB Ram
-Athlon II X@ 250 processor 3 GHz
-The machine is around a year old

It randomly gives BSOD. I have checked the dump files and it seems to show at least 3 possible reasons depending on the file. I have updated drivers from the manufacturers sites directly to try and fix the problem. Other solutions I found for the various error codes did not seem to apply. Not sure where to go from here. Any help would be appreciated.

BTW- Please don't pay attnetion to the dump files created on 4-1-12. I know why those happened. It was my error.

Two issues

Related to cpudrv64.sys cpudrv64.sys from Intel(R) Graphics DSS. Yours is 3 years old. I would re-install newest.

Symantec is a frequent cause of BSOD's. I would remove and replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials AT LEAST TO TEST

Thank you for your reply. Please note however that the cpudrv64.sys is definitley not the problem. As I wrote in my post, those last 4 dump files were my fault as I do not have any Intel products but I was mistakenly running an updater from the Intel site. The last 4 dump files just need to be ignored. Sorry for the confusion.

As for Norton- I run Norton on several machines and have never had a problem so I will wait to get a second opinion on that before I go and change my security program...

Please look at the other dump files.

My pleasure. It is of course your choice. Even discounting the CPUdrv crash (and the 3 others from April first) you have 10 different causes in 17 crashes. The only common denominator is Symantec.

The next most current dmp is from March 17 and not particularly relevant to the current state of the computer.

With that many possible causes one needs to start with the most obvious and handle the issues one at a time. SYMANTEC
