BSOD after long repairs

I'm not quite sure what the problem is but here is what my laptop keeps doing: -startup repair appears when I start my laptop -it prompts me to use a system restore point which I do use -it says restore was successful Then I continue to use the laptop for whatever I need and when I shut it...

I'm trying to repair a crashed Win 7 computer. I booted off the installation disc and ask it to do a repair. Currently it's "Attempting repairs... Repairing disk errors..." It says this may take over an hour and it's been doing this for just over 2 days (blue bars running across the screen)....
