Constant crashes - no error messages - please help

Ran memtest and seatools. No errors.

System about 2 years old

Windows OEM Home prem 64 bit

Intel i7 920

6GB 1333MHz DDR3

Intel X58 Motherboard

ATI 4890 Graphics 1GB

Dual DVI Ports

700 Watt PSU

Card Reader

Windows 7 Home Prem 64bit

Coolermaster 330

2 X 120mm Cooling fans

150N Wifi (Draft N)

Bluetooth

Samasung DVD/CD Writer

500GB Western Digital Caviar 7200rpm Hard Drive

If there is any other information you need that will be helpful in diagnosis please let me know as I am very keen to get this fixed.

Nothing in your Event Viewer logs to indicate the cause. See if it is an application or service that is conflicting with the system: Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup

Can be hardware or software problem related.

First you can check for any hardware conflict in device manager. If any, you must solve it. As a first step you can remove the conflicting hardware.

You can also use Advanced System Care from IOBit to inspect your PC for software issues. You can use it to make a deep clean and a deep optimization of your system files, memory and registry, betwaeen several other possibilities.
Use it carefully.

The free version as almost all the functionalities active.

Many of us on the forums actually do not recommend automated optimization tools for Windows 7. Windows 7 does a much better job of handling its own optimization than its predecessors did. We especially do not recommend registry cleaning as an "optimization" step because automated registry cleaning causes more harm to the registry than it actually repairs.

In the future, if you need help optimizing Windows 7, please post a thread in Performance & Maintenance - Windows 7 Forums or follow the tutorial enclosed in that forum to Optimize Windows 7.

I don' need help optimizing windows 7. I am looking for help in stopping the constant crashes. I think it was just suggested that looking for a software conflict might help.

My other response about automated optimization tools was intended more for digigato than for you. I just wanted you both to be aware that such tools are not necessary in Windows 7 and can actually be detrimental to the system. I did not want you blindly following digigato's advice without knowing all the facts (not to say that you would; I just wanted to make sure you were aware of the situation so you could make an informed decision).

OK no problem. Yes I am working through the clean startup process. Initially, with nothing starting up it has not crashed for 24 hours which is an excellent sign.

Working on the next part now. Fingers crossed.
