    BSOD after upgrading RAM

Hi i'm new to this forum, so please forgive me if I created this thread in the wrong section...

I'm currently running Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit via Bootcamp on a Macbook Pro 13", and everything was working fine (including the games) until I upgraded my ram to 8gb from a 4gb recently. Since then, I have been getting BSODs while playing these games :

    NFSW
    Blackshot
    GTA IV

    Here are my specs :

    Apple Inc. MacBookPro5,5
    Intel Core2 Duo P8700 @2.53GHz
    8GB RAM (2 x 4GB RAM)
    NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
    256MB VRAM

I've attached my BSOD dump file and system health report. Please help me fix my issue, thank you!

Run Memtest86 and see if it shows any errors. :)

Should I download the bootable ISO or the bootable binary?

Hi again, I've updated to Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 an hour ago, ran NFSW and Blackshot without any BSOD, but received "the memory cannot be read" error message instead. Any solutions?

    Btw, the message is :

The instruction at 0x100717e4 referenced memory at 0x14ae2788. The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program.

Are you now running the 64-Bit version of Windows?

As for Memtest, run it off a bootable iso.

32-Bit can only address approximately 3.2GB of RAM. That could be at least part of the trouble right there. :)

Did you buy all new ram or just add? If you added (even from the same mfr) it may not match.

@profdlp : So should I install the 64bit version of windows instead?

@zigzag3143 : I bought new Kingston RAM, and I was told that 1333MHz would work on my system with an original RAM of 1067MHz. Could the difference in the MHz be the problem?

If you want to have 8GB of usable RAM then install Win7 64bit. You can use the same key that you used for the 32bit OS, but you can't use the old OS anymore.

It is best to get RAM in matched kits.
Sometimes mismatched RAM will run, but not always.
What brand was the original RAM?
Are the RAM timings the same for both RAM cards?

After running the memtest86+ test, let us know the results.
For a quick test, remove one of the RAM cards and test for any crashes. Then swap the RAM cards (leaving one installed) and test for crashes again.

Let us know how it's going.
