    1.Your crashes point to Eset.
Please remove it for testing purposes.
    {Yours is from 2010 and there seems to have been a lot of these of late and I suspect an update is the root cause.}

    http://download.eset.com/special/ESETUninstaller.exe

    2. Replace with MSE.

Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows

In addition to updating ESS please update these drivers

    Code:
    lmimirr.sys 4/10/2007 6:32:45 PM
    RaInfo.sys 1/4/2008 2:57:14 PM
    VSTwindrvr6.sys 7/4/2008 3:28:01 AM
    LMIRfsDriver.sys 7/14/2008 12:26:56 PM
    xusb21.sys 4/8/2009 10:28:44 AM
    GEARAspiWDM.sys 5/18/2009 8:17:04 AM
    hpdskflt.sys 7/8/2009 2:41:38 PM
    How To Find Drivers:
    - search Google for the name of the driver
    - compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
    - visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
    - if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
    - - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference Driver Reference
    - - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads

    Hey there,

I deleted ESET SS using the application you told me to download via Safe Mode, it uninstalled successfully. I then installed Microsoft Security Essentials. So far my laptop has not had a spontaneous shutdown. Do you think it is still mandatory to update the drivers you stated?

I believe ESET was the indeed the problem. Thank you so much! I'll keep my PC on all day and see what happens.

Yeah, so far it has resolved the issue, however I'm keeping my laptop on for a few hours to see if any unexpected shutdowns occur.

    Hey guys,

Sorry for the super late response, I've kept my PC on for quite a bit and no random shutdowns. ESET was definitely the problem. Just want to say thanks to you guys! Life savers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
