    After Computer crash, Battery, Sound problems


    So I have a Toshiba Satellite A505 and I have had it for some time. About 2 months ago, it would start crashing without telling me the battery was low.

    After this most recent 'crash' it now reports "Consider Replacing Your Battery".

    However, that is not the only new event. Now, the speakers do not work at all. The Speakers previously had issues, where the right speaker would cut out completely when I had it on low volume (but when I turned it up, the right speaker would cut in and I could turn it back down for a while before it cut out again) however now they do not work whatsoever. I know this occurred directly because of the crash because I was watching a youtube video at the time it crashed without headphones (which still work) but afterwords nothing I would try would make any sound (other than headphones).

    The steps I have already taken:
    Checked for updated drivers on batter and Speakers. Reset. Uninstalled completely Speaker Drivers and Battery Drivers before resetting and re-installing. And I have also reset the computer 2 more times.

    A long while back, my computer had gotten some sort of virus and it was in terrible shape. I wiped it completely, partitioned it, and re-installed windows seven. It showed no signs of virus problems after that point. (and I have gotten avast since then, which has done an amazing job compared to the previous anti-virus I paid for)
    I therefore believe this incident is unrelated, but of course, I could be wrong.

    Any suggestions? If my battery is faulty, I guess that makes sense. This computer is approaching 2 years old, however the battery life was originally 7 hours, so I guess the fact it still lasts about 3 is pretty good. My real question lies in the Audio issue. If that can be resolved, and I can get confirmation that my battery is at fault here, I will be much obliged.

    So, after doing a shut down, instead of a restart... the sound works. I guess that's problem solved for now...
