| | well first things first can you get it to start in safe mode? here's a pictorial tutorial on getting into safe mode in case you are unfamiliar with it. Safe Mode edit actually scratch that link this is all you really need to know. Advanced Boot Options |

| | I tried f8, chose safe mode and it takes me to a page that says Windows error recovery and gives me the option to launch startup repair or start normally. Both take me back to the blue screen |

| | well let's give startup repair a try then as it will not interfere with the data portion of the drive your data will still be safe. Startup Repair you'll need your windows disk. |

| | That's a problem. With windows completely failing startup repair and then once you were booting properly a repair install would have been the best way to save your information. I'm sure it supports the return to factory default like most prebuilt systems do, but as you know you'll more than likely lose your data with that method. |
