Kernel Power 41 - playing Planet Entropia
Hello, Please help me with a problem i cant seem to resolve.
When playing Planet Entropia (widely know as planet calypso) I am getting sudden unexpected shutdowns. This happens when in windowed mode or fullscreen.
The computer is a SONY VAIO Laptop (more detailed specs at bottom of page)
What happens...
Screen goes black, computer restarts.
This crash does not produce a MEMORY DUMP file.
I have collected the information explained in the posting instructions, you will find the zip file at the bottom of the post, along with my computer specs.
This has been happening for almost a month now.
What I have done...
Changed Nvidia drivers from 182 to 190
Then on the 15th of April I factory reset the whole computer, ensured i had all updates from sony support (including a bios update)
The system now has the latest sony recomended driver for nvidia
Turning off C3/C6 support in the bios seems to have no effect.
I have also monitored thermal properties, and all temperatures appear to be well within normal operating ranges. (using OpenHarwareMonitor)
I have also, cleaned the copper heatsink and fan assembly, just in case.
My Planet Entropia installation has been checked and is valid.
I have also read the microsoft article about Kernel power 41 located at..
Description of Windows Kernel event ID 41 error in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2: "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first"
This article only leads me to another question...
As this is a laptop VAIO computer, and the power supply is external, is it possible that a problem with the power supply would translate into the computer? (or would the computer just switch to battery?)

Ant help you could give me with this error would be greatly appreciated, so far sony support have not responded to my email, even though it has been well over 48 hours since i sent it.
Thank you for any assistance you can offer.
Mike
