Since un-installing or updating the drivers and applications as advised above by Dave76 and ZigZag, the system has BSOD again in the same manner as usual.

I attach any and all files as directed.

Your motherboard manual: MSI P67A-GD53 Intel P67
    MSI Global ? Mainboard - P67A-GD53 (B3)

All the CPU temps look good.

Your BIOS version is V1.12, which isn't listed on your board site.
There are 5 updates since yours, going by the date of your BIOS.
    Improvements mentioned:
    - Improved memory compatibility
    - Improved VGA card compatibility
There are quite a few updates, which would indicate they were trying to fix problems.
With your issues I would update the BIOS to V1.19.
If you haven't updated BIOS before, let us know. There is the chance that it might fail and leave your board useless.

While at the MSI site check for any newer drivers.

    Thanks Dave,

I havent ever updated the BIOS before no. But I can try.

I disabled the realtek HD Audio in device manager as I have the Xonar DX installed instead.

For the hard drive error, does it say which hard drive? My primary is a SSD.

Will the Seagate Seatools long drive self test be ok for the SSD?

To update the BIOS, do not do it from the OS or from internet apps. Use the CD or USB install method.
If anything intrudes on the system while flashing the BIOS, it can cause a corrupt BIOS and can leave your motherboard useless. If the Anti-virus decides to run while you are flashing the BIOS it can cause big problems.

    MSI Award Flash BIOS Procedure

    Award Flash BIOS Procedure

First of all, please make a bootable floppy or USB storage.
Next go to MSI website to download BIOS zip file, then copy "AWFL865.exe" and "BIOS file" into bootable floppy or USB storage.
Please go to "BIOS Setup" and choose floppy or USB storage as 1st booting device under "Boot Sequence".
Same procedure for AMI BIOS on the link.

    Hi Dave,

I updated the BIOS last night, and used the process detailed on the MSI website and as you have detailed above. after completing the system will no longer boot into Windows and BSODs just after the "Starting Windows" screen.

I then cleared the CMOS for good measure but the same BSOD occurs on boot.

I think it might be time to re-install Windows now.

OK the new BSOD is resolved. I had forgotten after the BIOS update to change the config from the default IDE to AHCI mode for the SSD hard drive that has Windows installed on. I am now testing to see if the original BSOD still occurs and will update you asap.

Thanks again for your continued help!

ok it was up for about 45 mins then BSOD-ed again. I was running it at load to test and the max temps were hitting 65 degrees centigrade. when the BSOD ocurred it was between 45 and 52 degrees across the cores.

Let me know if you want to see the crash dump files again.

Yes, upload all the dump files.

What were you running to load test?

Your max CPU Core temp is 77.6°C
    Intel® Core™ i5-2500K Processor

The Seagate Seatools test is for Hard Drives.

Update all your drivers from the MSI motherboard site, don't use the CD.

To Load test I was running Prime95

All the motherboard drivers are up to date, obtained from the MSI website.

    Dump files attached.

I will be running the SeaTools tests tonight and will update you.

With Seatools, I cant find an option for long Drive Self Test? Only Short Drive Self Test or Long Generic.

    Which should I use?
