Windows not booting - blue screen, then restart

    Hi,

I have a HDD with win7 installed on it and i have a blue screen problem. When I start the pc the windows7 logo is starting to showing up but after the first ball of color (red i think) freezes and then i get a short blue screen and restart.

System repair doesn't work. Also i tried chkdsk utility, fixboot, fixmbr but nothing... I booted with a live cd and in My Computer i can see all my partition, includind C: System Reserved, but partition D (windows) appears like is damaged or locked because i can't open it and the space used blue bar doesn't appear.

Is there a fix for this?
    Thanks.

Have you tried booting into safe mode (F8)? or from the win 7 dvd?

    If this does not work,

You're going to have to do a clean install.

    Clean Install Windows 7

You will need to backup your information before you do this. Feel free to post back if you need advice on doing this.

No, i can't boot in safe mode - the same thing is happening.
I was afraid this will happen....
I can save my data through a liveCD and then i'll do a clean install.

    Thanks!

    I'm back.

I managed to open the D partition and now i have acces to all system files. I did this by using Hiren's Boot CD - Mini WinXP.
Now, isn't there any solution to repair the system? Maybe I could modify/delete some files.... I don't know.
    Any ideas?

LE: Solved. I reinstalled win7 and I have recovered my files from Windows.old folder.
    Thanks for all your support!
