Frequent BSOD

    Frequent BSOD


    Blue screen and freezing. This is happening frequently but never has any regularity to it. Sometimes happens after a couple of days and sometimes after a couple of minutes. Also sometimes with only one browser window open and sometimes with 15 or more. Happens with both chrome and firefox. Has not happened with other programs as this lapy only gets used for surfing/email/forums etc. Sometimes happens while the computer is sitting idle right after boot. Very strange.

    If you need any more info I have filled in most of the system specs below.

    Symantec is a frequent cause of BSOD's. I would remove and replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials AT LEAST TO TEST

    Done and done. Is there anything else now? Or do we just wait to see if I have any more problems now? If waiting how long should we wait?

    We are waiting to see if you crash. Do the things that made it crash and lets see what happens. If you dont crash I would say you have found the problem.
