BSOD every 5 mins- Windows 7 RTM 32bit

I have been getting a bsod every 5-10 minutes on my new homebuilt rig with windows 7 32bit. I want to know if the problem is caused by a driver, the motherboard, the video card, or the ram etc.

Can someone do the detective work and let me know, so I can get that part repaired/exchanged today.

Here are the dump files from the last 24 hours (bluescreenview).

There is something seriously wrong with that burn. Almost every NT file in kernel is crashing. kernel, hal, etc. I wonder was there a previous OS on that drive? could you tell us more about the dl,burn, and install.

Sorry i was wrong, windows vista was previously on the drive, and it was a upgrade. Ill explain below.

1. The install process was very strange.
Windows 7 64-bit refused to install. This was very strange, so I burned 4 different iso`s but none of them worked.
2. I gave up, and then installed windows vista 32 bit from a dvd and it worked.
3. Finally I upgraded to windows 7 32bit by mounting the windows 7 iso and clicking the upgrade option.

Reburn that windows7 ISO at the slowest possible speed and do a clean install.. not an upgrade....

I vote for RAM, they tend to be the reason often, if you got any other ram, put them in and try, or try with only 1 ram stick.

Many of your Stop codes are the same I used to get when I was futzing around with RAM frequencies and timings. If you are overclocked tighten up your timings or take the defaults.

Reseat your RAM it might not be in all the way.

Try running Memtest86 to see if it's your RAM for sure. Let it run for a few hours at least.

When did you install the Vista installation?
Did you get any Windows Updates?
Do you know if KB 973879 or SP2 was installed prior to upgrading to Win7?
Can you check your Windows Update history to see if update KB973879 is installed. If it is, please uninstall it.

Please go to C:\Windows\Minidump and zip up the entire contents of that folder. Then upload/attach the .zip file with your next post. The dump files may reveal some details that the error report doesn't.

IMO it can be either a bad incomplete install or your hardware (specifically memory or MB).

The only way to tell is to do a clean install. If it still won't install then its your media.
