Can't Fix Corrupt Files i've been having some unusual computer behavior. when checking the disk, i got the following message:
"windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them." it mentioned a log that was saved (CBS.log), though i'm not sure what to make of it.
what can i do to fix this? i have a lot of data on here that i don't want to lose. the computer does seem to be working mostly ok, but i did just get a BSOD and the above message.
this is Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit. and i ran malwarebytes and kaspersky but they came up clean.
thanks. | My System Specs |

The system file checker can only fix files that are in the mirror - and those are only the most important system files. You may have more luck with a Repair Install | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP, Dell, Gateway, Toshiba - 4 laptops and 2 desktops OS Vista, Windows7, Mint Mate, Zorin, Windows 8 CPU from 1.6GHz Duo to i7 Monitor(s) Displays 2x HP w2207 Keyboard with trackball - no mices Mouse Trackball mice Hard Drives 5x HDD, 7x SSD, 12x Externals Internet Speed DSL 6000 |

i did try the repair install yesterday but it stoped responding after maybe 20 minutes, and i let it go on for another 3 hours with no change.
i noticed a couple of times that when in explorer i click on a certain folder, the top of the window has that green progress bar above, as if it is indexing or locating, and i think that may help.
anyway, the computer is running much better than yesterday, so perhaps a repair install would now work.
here is the log file. hope someone can make sense of it, as it is quite long. | My System Specs | | |
