sporadic reboot after RAM & GPU upgrade: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Hi.

I upgraded my computer from an ATI Radeon to a GTX560 and upgraded the RAM from 8 GB to 16 GB. It has been very stable up until this upgrade. It randomly will reboot.

Initially I thought the problem was RAM related, so within the last week I exchanged it for a different brand and type (Crucial, recommended for the machine), and while I waited for the new RAM, I reinstalled the stock 8 GB. The rebooting did not stop. The BSOD error is now DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL whereas with the initial RAM upgrade it was PFN_LIST_CORRUPT

Please help

System Specifications:
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
clean install, full retail version

Hardware age 3/2010
OS install, few months after

AMD Phenom II x4 425
16gb RAM
HP hardware specs (with 8 GB RAM and ATI Radeon)
HP Pavilion Elite e9140f Desktop PC Product Specifications HP Pavilion Elite e9140f Desktop PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

Great forum. I really appreciate everyone's help and input.

There are several issues here

1-Related to HCW85BDA.sys BDA driver from Hauppauge Computer. I would re-install newest.

2-You also have several old drivers needing updating

How To Find Drivers:
Quote:
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference Driver Reference
Driver Reference Table

3-Also of concern is
Technisat digital satellite driver

It is also from 2006

4-Is all 16 gigs from the same package now?

5-Sptd.sys
Please remove any CD visualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%.

They use a driver, found in your dmp, called sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs.

Use this SPTD uninstaller DuplexSecure - Downloads DuplexSecure - FAQ

when you're done you can use this Freeware:

MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD-ROM (MagicDisc) in its place

Using MagicISO to create ISO image files

6-KS.sys. If all the above doesnt fix the problem we need to take a look at this file.
