BSoD when screen saver trying to start

Basic system description:
Desktop PC about 2 years old with:
Motherboard: Asus P5Q-E
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 @ 2.66GHz
RAM amount: 8GB (DDR2)
Operating System: Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1 OEM 64 bit
Graphics Cards (I have two installed and software controllable CrossFire): AMD Radeon HD4850 driving 4 monitors. Driver version 8.961.0.0
Hard drive: 1 TB Western Digital WDC WD1001FALS-00J7B1

BSoD Crash situation:
I was just sitting there doing nothing but just watching my screens (live financial charts) when all of a sudden the screen saver (I have "Mystify" setup) trying to start because I did not touch the keyboard and mouse for a few minutes. Then 2 of the 4 screen went blank and the remaining 2 froze and just gave me BSoD.

This BSoD is not the first one and I suspect the screen saver is missing some files, etc. or Windows is corrupted. I think all my drivers are updated (with SlimDriver freeware). This time, the BSoD - as I recall it had a IRQL_.... message at the top.

Every time the message is different, however.

Please help!!!!!!!!

Two issues must be addressed before we can even begin to investigate the underlying problems. Obviously you didnt follow my suggestions from your other thread about McAfee or about asacpi.sys.

Why did you start a second thread if you werent going to follow the advice given in the first?

http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...-ntfs-sys.html

1-asacpi.sys

The pre 2009 version of this driver is a known BSOD cause.

Scroll down to the utilities category, then scroll down to the "atk0110 driver for windowsxp/vista/windows 7 32&64-bit" (it's about the 12th item down).

Download and install it.

Go to c:\windows\system32\drivers to check and make sure that the asacpi.sys file is date stamped from 2009 or 2010 (not before).
2-Your McAfee. shown as the cause in abt 8 of these crashes.

McAfee is a frequent cause of BSOD's. I would remove and replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials AT LEAST TO TEST!

1. I did update the Asus driver. Will update again ...
2. It is not that I do not want to uninstall. The other two PC seems fine with McAfee (an Asus N73Jq and a Lenovo T420s). This one is oldest so will remove McAfee. I even have the MCPR.exe file from McAfee to have a clean remove.

What do I do to test once McAfee is removed?

I also use SlimDriver to update ALL other drivers.

The reason I started another thread was because I felt that the items were different this time.

The screen saver screen is very strange now because it did not pre-load my user ID and avatar and asks me to input my ID.

Two items:
1. Again, asacpi.sys was indeed updated. Date stamp is May 14, 2009.
2. McAfee removed.

Now what?

I am installing Microsoft Security Essentials as we speak.

The newest DMP file you have uploaded (the only thing I can go on) is dated 4/25 and asacpi.sys is still dated 2005 there as you can see for yourself.

I will wait for further DMP files to confirm and to examine the "new" problem/

Ok, just got another BSoD ... may be it is a good thing? That I can actually get a new dump to show at least the asacpi.sys is indeed updated?

See attached.
