Random computer lockup after recent Windows Updates BCCode f4

This has been going on after a recent windows update with about 8 security fixes. I don't know if it's just a coincidence.

System locks up. No keyboard or mouse input. Have to perform hard shutdown.

This is on fairly new system less than a year old. 2 Month old install of windows retail from CD. I decided to switch from using both SSD's raided for the os drive and seperated them to use for OS and Apps.

Any help or advice would be highly appreciated. I have attached the information per your post on posting system crashes/issues.

System Specs from a sig. * with raid before switching over.

It sounds like your SSD(s) does(do) not have its(their) firmware up to date. Also, as an FYI, RAID was intended more for server based systems than for the typical home user. Further reading: Why RAID is (usually) a Terrible Idea - Puget Custom Computers

writhziden thanks for the post. I had just this morning done that from the last update 009 to 00F for crucial M4. I had tried the firmware update from the exe prior to my original post but there was an error after it rebooted and didn't get around to trying the manual update via boot media method until this morning. So far no crashes. Hope this does the trick.

PS My raid 0 configuration was only for added speed during games. I was able to get very good write/read times with the two ssd's in raid 0 with the Intel controller ( not marvel one Sata 6 ) but decided after a few months that it was not worth the loss of half of my ssd space.

PSS.. I did nightly backups on that raid set the entire time and never once had a problem with it. I was very happy with the stability using the ich10 controllers.

Thanks again... I'll probably be closing this out in a couple of days if I don't see any more lockups.

Well it's been well over a week without a single blue screen. It appears that the ssd firmware update did the trick. I also reseated all my components about the same time but more than likely it was the firmware update that did it. Thanks for all who took a look and specially to writhziden ( Windows 7 Forums - View Profile: writhziden ) who pointed me in the right direction.
