To see the BSOD, rapidly tap the F8 key before the Windows Splash Screen shows up.
Then select "Disable automatic restart on system failure" from the list (it's towards the bottom).
The next time a BSOD shows, it'll stop there.

Here's the info that we need:

Info on the STOP 0x7B error that you provided for us: http://www.carrona.org/bsodindx.html#0x0000007B
0XC000034 =
STATUS_OBJECT_NAME_NOT_FOUND - which means the computer couldn't find what it was looking for (on the hard drive)

Please run the diagnostics that I suggested earlier: Initial Hardware Diagnostics

Then, try Startup Repair, System Restore, and the 3 bootrec commands (from a Command Prompt):

bootrec /fixboot
bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /rebuildbcd

If you're satisfied that there's not a hardware problem, then I'd suggest posting over in the General Forums for assistance with imaging the laptop (I use Acronis True Image, but haven't done any imaging with Windows 7).

Acronis True Image will make an image of your hard drive - and you can use that to transfer the image from the old computer to the new computer. http://www.acronis.com

I haven't done this since Windows XP, so I don't know exactly how it works. I do know that it's supposed to be very easy when compared to what I went through with Windows XP.
