BSOD playing games error 0x000000116, help pls

Hello everyone, I have a problem with an acer aspire 5742g.
i3-380
vga intel hd
nvidia gt 540m whit optimus tecnology
4 gb ram
Windows 7 64-bit home premium sp1
i tested ram with memram and hd whit sea.
I formatted windows many times to solve this problem and I tried both the 32-bit and the 64bit vista ultimatum etc. etc.
I tried all drivers nvidia and intel driver vga card.
a few days ago I was able to play everything with nvidia 301.24 driver and I had no artifacts, then started the crash and now the games will not start ...
sometimes leave all the games without problems, while other times I can not use the nvidia video card because I have the blue screen and error message X116.
I hope I have sent all the information needed to help me.
sorry but my English is not great and I used google translator.
Thank you.

Your crashes indicate > 0x116
Please read the below very carefully.

Quote:
"It's not a true crash, in the sense that the bluescreen was initiated only because the combination of video driver and video hardware was being unresponsive, and not because of any synchronous processing exception".

Since Vista, the "Timeout Detection and Recovery" (TDR) components of the OS video subsystem have been capable of doing some truly impressive things to try to recover from issues which would have caused earlier OSs like XP to crash.

As a last resort, the TDR subsystem sends the video driver a "please restart yourself now!" command and waits a few seconds.

If there's no response, the OS concludes that the video driver/hardware combo has truly collapsed in a heap, and it fires off that stop 0x116 BSOD.

If playing with video driver versions hasn't helped, make sure the box is not overheating.

Try removing a side panel and aiming a big mains fan straight at the motherboard and GPU.

Run it like that for a few hours or days - long enough to ascertain whether cooler temperatures make a difference.

If so, it might be as simple as dust buildup and subsequently inadequate cooling.

I would download cpu-z and gpu-z (both free) and keep an eye on the video temps http://www.cpuid.com/Dichotomize

In addition to JMH's suggestions please remove (or update)the following.

You have a driver from 2005 that is a HUGE cause of BSOD's in win 7 called RTCORE64.SYS, it is the msi afterburner driver (used in overclocking). It needs at least to be updated and if it cant it needs to be removed.
