I would recommend installing your downloaded drivers, restarting the system, uninstalling the drivers again, and this time hitting restart now to uninstall those drivers. Then go back and remove any remaining nVidia software/drivers in the Uninstall a program list.
Uninstalling the NVIDIA Graphics Driver item in Uninstall a program should remove all nVidia software, so the other software should not exist on a reboot.
After uninstalling all nVidia software, check for the dll files as instructed prior by usasma.
usasma may also provide further instructions. If any of his instructions conflict with mine, his should take priority since he is more familiar with your situation.
