So after a day of running with the OEM memory stick, I have no BSODs - even under the most taxing conditions (gaming [MW3], Skype, heavy web browsing, streaming video, etc). I have to wonder if that may be the culprit? Could it be? If so, how can I upgrade 8GB without risking the same issues?

So, in an attempt to eliminate different RAM sticks as the culprit, I geeked out at Micro Center today and picked up a matching pair of Corsairs. See Below.

Not a bad step. How is the system responding with the new, matching RAM?

No BSODs as of yet. Will report back.

A few hours later, all is well. Keepin' on, keepin' on.

Great News! Post back in a few days how the system is responding. If you are confident at that time that the system is stable, you may also mark the thread solved.

Yep, we'll see. I can't say I'm fully confident about it yet, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I have to also wonder if the issue lies within the auto-switchable graphics. My enhanced Google skills haven't found a solution to permanently switch to the Nvidia or the Intel integrated if I want to.

The best method may be to install the latest drivers for both devices and then disable the driver for the device you do not want to use by going into Device Manager.

Huzzah. Still have not experienced another BSOD. Will leave the thread open for a while longer, just in case.

Random BSODs playing WoW, error 0x1000007e, 0x00000050, 0x0000003b
I'm experiencing random BSOD crashes while playing World of Warcraft (and, sometimes Skyrim). The BSOD does not always happen -- more often, the game itself will just crash to desktop with an error #132 message. If you're interested in reading the crash reports from WoW's client, I can post them...

Hi, I'm getting a hell of a lot BSODs recently, with differing error messages. The BSODs don't seem to be triggered by specific things, or happen at specific times, at least as far as I am able to discern. I'm attaching several minidump files of the different errors, and would greatly...

Hi, I wonder if you guys would help me figure this mystery out, about my PC giving me random BSODs. I don't remember when this started, but at the beginning was very rare, maybe once in a few months. Recently, it is happening more often - once a week, and some days couple times a day. I did...

Hi, I recently installed Windows 7 Professional Edition x64 Student Edition (bought it online) on my notebook, a Sager NP 8662 (system specs are on my profile). I've been using it for about a month now, and since then I've been getting BSODs. They do not occur very often, about twice a week, and...
