BSOD while playing games

Hi! My computer crashes when I'm playing intensive games like Call of Duty Black Ops, or L.A. Noire. Sometimes it shows the bluescreen, and sometimes the games just freezes and I have to reset the computer.

System Specs:
Intel Core i3 2100 @ 3.1Ghz
2Gb Kingston RAM (1x2Gb) + 4Gb Zeppelin RAM (2x2Gb)
WDC Green 2.0 TB HDD
Palit nVidia Geforce GT 440
Coolermaster retail 450W power supply.
I built the system.
It's about half a year old.
I have reinstalled the OS (used to be Windows 7 Ultimate x86, now its Ultimate x64)

Here are the dump files & perfmon report html.

Thanks in advance!

Running the last 10 memory dumps

Lot's of issues with your VMWare and it's networking. I'd suggest uninstalling the program while we're troubleshooting - then installing the latest version once we're done and the system is stable.

Your SMBus (PCI\\VEN_8086&DEV_1C22&SUBSYS_844D1043&REV_05\\3&11583659&0&FB) and your Multimedia Audio Controller ( PCI\\VEN_13F6&DEV_0111&SUBSYS_011113F6&REV_10\\5&9C286&0&0000E7 ) are having issues - please update the drivers for each of these devices. You can look up the ID numbers at PCI Vendor and Device Lists

More to follow after dinner.......

XFire and the Wireless USB adapter ( Netgear WG111v2 ) are known to cause BSOD issues. Please uninstall both from your system. The wireless USB drivers date from 2009 and must be replaced/uninstalled.

You have a 93 mHz overclock. Please return the system to default values until the system is stabilized.

10 memory dumps
7 different BSOD error codes
5 different causes blamed

This is most likely a hardware error. They (hardware errors) are usually caused by one of these things:
- borked (broken) hardware (several different procedures used to isolate the problem device)
- overclocking - You'll know if you're overclocking or not. If uncertain we can suggest things to check.
- compatibility issues
- low-level driver problems
- or even malware (scanned for when we ask for hardware diagnostics from Initial Hardware Diagnostics or Hardware Diagnostics ).

Video drivers are outdated. Please install the latest available version from World Leader in Visual Computing Technologies | NVIDIA

The following info is just FYI, I've already addressed the issues that I saw in the above paragraphs

Ok thanks I'll tell you what happens after doing all that.

Oh and I don't suppose me using two different make of memory modules would have anything to do with it? :/

Not unusual for that to happen. Please generate a new set of jcgriff2 reports and we'll see if we can find the problem.

SMBus and Multimedia Audio Controller aren't installed. The SMBus is a part of your chipset drivers and can cause problems when it's not installed (a long story, but that's how I got started doing this stuff many years ago).

You still have the 93 mHz overclock. Please remove it while we're troubleshooting. Feel free to resume it once the system is stabilized.

Latest BSOD blames hardware.....

Your Hamachi drivers date from 2009. Please update them. If no suitable updates are available, please remove it from your system while we're troubleshooting. Feel free to reinstall it once the system is stable again.

Your Netgear wireless networking drivers date from 2009. Please update them immediately! If no suitable update is available, please uninstall the software and remove the device from your system.

If this is a wireless USB device - uninstall the software and remove the device from the system. These devices cause BSOD's on Win7 system - especially when using Vista-era drivers.
Here's my rant about these devices:
Quote:
I do not recommend using wireless USB devices. Especially in Win7 systems.
These wireless USB devices have many issues with Win7 - and using Vista drivers with them is almost sure to cause a BSOD.
Should you want to keep using these devices, be sure to have Win7 drivers - DO NOT use Vista drivers!!!
An installable wireless PCI/PCIe card that's plugged into your motherboard is much more robust, reliable, and powerful.
The following info is just FYI, I've already addressed the issues that I saw in the above paragraphs

I'm pretty sure the system isn't overclocked :/

Here's a screenshot of CPU-Z

I have disabled the Multimedia Controller (in device manager). It is just an old sound card in a PCI slot, and I installed the NETGEAR driver after it started crashing.. It's been doing it for a month now :/ It started after I installed some cable sleeving in the system. I only sleeved fan cables though.

If you have an old sound card in a PCI slot that you're not using:
- uninstall the software for the card
- physically remove the card from the system
- test for further BSOD's

The overclock thing is odd, but not worth looking into right now.

If you get any further BSOD's, zip up the memory dumps and post them in your next post.
We'll work from there.
