I was using Windows Live Movie Maker and working on a tribute to my sister who passed. I decided (wrong thing to do) to update and downloaded Windows Live Essentials (because there was a newer update of Movie Maker). Then, movie maker would not start up. Reinstalled several times. Then I read somewhere about DXDIAG. Then tried dxdiag in Run command.
THIS is the error message:
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\dxgi.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact yoru system administrator or the software vendor for support.
After I press ok, I get another message saying:
Error: Could not load dxdiagn.dll
Not sure what to do
My goal is to continue working on my video tribute. I uninstalled Windows Live Essentials. Tried to reinstall DIRECTX, states I have the latest version. I used several scans (SFC/scannow and others for malware).
I have an ACER Aspire 1430z-4677, Windows Home Premium (64).
