BSOD Asus P8z68 - Marvell Controller

    Win 7 x64
    OEM version (from newegg)
Custom build, about 1 month old.
    MB Asus P8Z68-Pro-V

Hi and thank you very much for you help.

I have been getting some BSOD, I think it might be related to my SSD and its sata controller. The BSOD mentioned MV91xx.sys.
I have a SSD (OCZ-Agility) connected to the 6gbs marvel.

Driver installed matches latest driver on ASUS website.
    (JMicron JMB36X Controller Driver V1.17.58.2)

Full BSOD report: Dropbox - BSOD2.zip - Simplify your life

    Any suggestions are appreciated.
    Thanks!

The newest one ONLY is Related to mv91xx.sys magni Windows Driver from Marvell Semiconductor, as you suggested. I would remove it, at least to test.

(Correction: in my earlier post, I mentioned the JMicron... I meant the Marvell Driver)

I switched my SSD from the Marvell 6gbs/ to one of Intel's 3gb/s sata, and the
    problem disappeared.
    I guess this confirms it... Good news: no more BSOD;
Bad news: Lost about 120mb/s by going from 6gb/s to 3gb/s.

I guess it is worth the stability.

I am not sure why they do this, but the Asus p8z68 mobo has 4x3gbs (intel), 2x6gbs intel, and these 2x6gbs Marvell. A quick google search will show that tons of people all over the net are having issues (BSOD & Raid) with these Marvell controllers.

Hopefully this can help someone... Please add to the discussion if you have any additional info... (it would be nice to switch back to marvell if that was a way to make it stable...)
I have sent a message to asus regarding the issue, I will post back if they are able to help me.

    Thanks!

PS: I have removed my BSOD dumps

I got the exact same problem..... really hope the will fix the controller firmware :-(

    MB Asus P8Z68-Pro-V
    SSD Crucial M4 128GB

Maybe it is enough to switch from the Marvel 6gbs to the Intel 6gbs controller ?

Just disabled the Marvel controller.... and connected to the Intel...

    Wish me luck

    Hi

Do you guys still have problems with the Marvell drivers?

Because I do, the problem is not while I'm in windows(because I downloaded the new drivers) but while I'm trying to "update" windows from Ultimate to Enterprise.
    Any advise? :)
