BSOD While Gaming! (Star Trek Online)

Hello! This is my first time posting on here..
I've been getting BSOD while Gaming..
I read through the BSOD Post - here is to hoping I got it correct.
Thank you for looking and all your help!

Windows 7 . . .
- x64 Home Premium
- the original installed OS on the system? - Yes
- OEM - What is the age of system (hardware)? 3 years
- What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?) 2 days

Manufacturer: Cyberpower Inc.
Processor: AMD Athlon II X2 245 Processor 2.90Ghz

SP1 isn't installed, please do the following:

Installing Windows 7 Service Pack 1
1. Visit the PC manufacturer's website and update ALL drivers. DO NOT use Windows Update or the "Update drivers" function of Device Manager.
2. Check Device Manager for any unknown/disabled devices - if there are unknown/disabled devices, fix them with the latest drivers from the device manufacturer's website (not the PC Manufacturer)
3. Visit Windows Update and get all updates (may take repeated visits)
4. Visit Windows Update and get Service Pack 1 (usually under Important Updates). Read these notes for installing SP1: Steps to follow before you install Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 from the Microsoft Download Center
5. Visit Windows Update and get any other available updates. May take repeated visits, but keep it up until you get several "Windows is updated" results.
If you're having difficulties with installing a Service Pack, please use the SURTool from this link: What is the System Update Readiness Tool?

I have had limited success in installing updates/Service Packs when using a "clean boot". I suspect that I'm just bypassing the problem - and that it can come back to bite me in the butt later on.

You have a Wireless N-300 USB Adapter WNA3100. Win7 doesn't like these devices. And, when combined with Vista era drivers (yours date from 2009), it'll spit out a whole lot of BSOD's. Here's my rant about these devices:

I do not recommend using wireless USB devices. Especially in Win7 systems.
These wireless USB devices have many issues with Win7 - and using Vista drivers with them is almost sure to cause a BSOD.
Should you want to keep using these devices, be sure to have Win7 drivers - DO NOT use Vista drivers!!!
An installable wireless PCI/PCIe card that's plugged into your motherboard is much more robust, reliable, and powerful.

You also have the 2005 version of ASACPI.sys. This is a known cause of BSOD's on Win7 systems. Visit the Asus website and download the latest version for your system. It's the ATK0110 ACPI Utility driver and is found in either the Utilities section or the ATK section of the downloads for your system/motherboard. If you can't locate it, post back and we'll suggest other alternatives.

Hey usasma!

thanks for all your help so far!
I've been BSOD free for 3 weeks now until once again it started!

I did everything you had said (i believe I did anyway). I even got rid of the Wireless USB! :)

but the BSOD's started up again, hopefully you can pin point and help me out again! Thanks!

The Netgear Wireless USB Adapter is still listed in MSINFO32 as being installed.
Have you uninstalled all the Netgear software? Please also have a look in Device Manager under Network Adapters. If it's not there, then go to the View menu item and check "Show hidden devices" and look for it under the different hidden categories that show up. When/if you find it, right click on it and select "Uninstall"

3 different BSOD errors - the oldest one blaming MalwareBytes AntiMalware. Please uninstall it.
Please ensure that you have all the latest updates for the Star Trek Online game as there are many problems listed with it's crypticerror.exe file.

While waiting for further BSOD's, please start with these free diagnostics: Initial Hardware Diagnostics

If the above steps don't stop the BSOD's, please zip up and upload any new memory dumps with your next post - and we'll see what we can figure out from there.

Thanks! Unfortunately my PC power supply unit bit the dust last night

Fan lights all turns on but monitor remains black. I smelled burning July 4 evening but I thought it
Was due to fireworks in my neighborhood... lol. After that night I just started getting bsods and
Random freezes. Will my power supply failing would have caused any of the issues on my report?

Hey dude,

just got my system back up. for some odd reason it took me several hours to replace the power supply unit, unplugging, plugging back everything until I finally gave up. Well I decided to press the power button one more time
then *POOF* BIOS Finally loaded! *SHOCK* and a WTF was my initial feelings.. lol.

I re-checked everything as your said, I can't find any Netgear programs.
I also uninstalled Malwarebytes.
checking cryptic files now.
