Help please!! For the last two weeks, i am seeing very frequent BSOD on my home laptop - Windows 7 home premium 64. Error details attached

Crashes were all caused by your Intel Wireless Network Adapter driver:

Re-install the driver with the latest available. You will find it under Network adapters in Device Manager. The latest driver should be downloaded from your laptop vendor support site (HP, Dell, etc.) for your laptop model. Then proceed with the following:

To fully re-install a driver, use the following steps.

1. First, download the latest driver. Then do the next steps.
2. Click Start Menu
3. Right Click My Computer/Computer
4. Click Manage
5. Click Device Manager from the list on the left
6. Find the device you are trying to uninstall by expanding the appropriate set of devices
7. Right click the device
8. Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
9. Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device (if this option is available, otherwise just hit OK) and hit OK
10. Restart your computer only if Windows asks you to.
11. Install the latest driver for the device.

Alternatively:

1. Login as an adminstrative user.
2. First, download the latest driver. Then do the next steps.
3. Click Start Menu
4. Click Control Panel
5. Click Hardware and Sound
6. Click Device Manager (the last link under Devices and Printers)
7. Find the device you are trying to uninstall by expanding the appropriate set of devices
8. Right click the device
9. Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
10. Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device (if this option is available, otherwise just hit OK) and hit OK
11. Restart your computer only if Windows asks you to.
12. Install the latest driver for the device.

NOTE: The crashes may also be caused by a virus or malware. I do not see up to date security software installed on the system...


Make sure to install security software. I recommend either of these:

• http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...ity-essentials coupled with Malwarebytes. Do not start the free trial of Malwarebytes. Just use the standalone version, update it, and scan your computer once a week with Malwarebytes and with Microsoft Security Essentials.
  
  
• Good and Free system security combination.

After installing your security software, update it, and then run full scans today with each program. Report back the results of the scans.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have updated the latest Wireless card driver from HP / Intel. I hope there are no more crashes.

Wrt to security, I used MS Forefront Endpoint protection. Do you still recommend installing Security essentials.

That software is a bit out of date from a cursory Google Search. It should be replaced with System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection.
