Hi writhziden, I found some problems after installing Speccy (RealTemp does not support my processor) AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+

The temperatures shown in the image are in stand by !

The GPU and motherboard temperatures seem ok to me, but I think the CPU Temperature is a bit high...

I will follow the next steps and post informationa ccordingly.

Thanks for your help !

Those temperatures are very high, even dangerously so. Maximum temperature for that processor is 55-68 C

AMD Processors for Desktops: AMD Phenom

Anything over 55 and you should worry under stress. Make sure you have adequate cooling and the heatsink is properly seated on the motherboard. If you gently wiggle it with your finger, you should not feel any give; it should be tight to the board. Also, re-apply your thermal compound: Thermal Paste and How To Use It | techPowerUp

As you add and remove hardware (or wiggle the heatsink), follow these steps for ESD safety:
  1. Shut down and turn off your computer.
  2. Unplug all power supplies to the computer (AC Power then battery for laptops, AC power for desktops)
  3. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds to close the circuit and ensure all power drains from components.
  4. Make sure you are grounded by using proper grounding techniques, i.e. work on an anti-static workbench, anti-static desk, or an anti-static pad. Hold something metallic while touching it to the anti-static surface, or use an anti-static wristband to attach to the anti-static material while working. If you do not have an anti-static workbench, desk, or pad, you can use your computer tower/case by finding a metal hold in it, such as a drive bay.
Once these steps have been followed, it is safe to remove and replace components within your computer.

Hi writhziden, I finished stability tests for my GPU, MAX Temp reached at 99% usage with the benchmarking was 74C, wich was constant, not bad i think... Same with the memory test, no errors (small test lol)

About the CPU temperature.. The heatskink is tight !, but I remembered.... That I have never changed the thermal paste before.. Not even once with this PC after 3 years ! Maybe I should find someone to lend me some good thermal paste for my CPU...

BTW I played Battlefield without problems, not a single crash.

Thanks for the help !

Hi writhziden !

It seems Speccy tricked me :S, when I opened HWinFO32 to analyze my CPU temperature, it showed the following :

Looks like I got it wrong, but my CPU temperatures are still a bit high tho.... Gonna proceed with the Thermal paste thing anyway... But I just wanted to post the info here !

I think I cant perform an Intel Burn test, the difference beetween the current and max temperatures are less than 20C.

Thanks !

You're welcome! I agree, thermal reapplication is still a good idea. Nice step not running the IntelBurn Test until after that is done.

Hi writhziden, its been a long time now.

I did a clean install for windows 7 and now im using W7 Professional (x86). (That was last week)

I discovered that 1 RAM stick was giving problems (random 512 DDR2 MB stick assembled in Malassya, no brand), whenever i plug it my system wont start so i removed it and everything ran so smoothly...

Everything has been running good until today... I ve got a random MEMORY_MANAGEMENT BSOD, it looks like Windows generated a minidump, and I would really appreciate if you could help me identitying a new or old problem, Thanks.

Attached minidump file + jcfrigg2 + syshealthreport Updated !

The Windows installation is counterfeit.
The machine is one built in 2008 - over a year before Windows 7 was released - and cannot possibly support a OEM_SLP Key for WIndows 7.
The BIOS SLIC table has been simulated by a hacker's Activation Exploit - and doesn't mathc the rest of the BIOS.

Fow what version and edition of WIndows is the system Licensed, according to the COA sticker on the case?

Who installed the 'upgrade' and from where was it purchased?
