    Bsod - hp hpe / nvidia gt320

    Hi,

Newbie here, and PC novice so please be gentle.

The spec of the new PC is as folows:

    HP Elite 340uk
    Intel i3 550 (3.07GHz)
    nVidia GT320 (1GB)
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit - OEM (original)

I have attached the BSOD troubleshooting siles you recommend (I think).
Seems like the RAM, NVIDIA or HD would be the most likely candidates, but I don't know.

Have tried to run MS memory test, but it sometimes crashes?

    Hope someone can help.

    Many thanks.
    Jason

Your McAfee software was involved, uninstall it and use MSE

Update your Nvidia Drivers, install only the Driver & PhysX, uncheck all other components.
    http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-wi...ql-driver.html

Run Prime 95 to test your CPU. Carefully the instructions in this tutorial: CPU - Stress Test with Prime95. Run 3 separate tests, one on each of the settings (Blend, Small FFTs, Large FFTs). Post back with your results.
Note that this test may overheat the CPU, ensure proper cooling.

Test your RAM, RAM - Test with Memtest86+

    Post back with your results.
    Code:

This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.

Arg1: 0000000000000000, The exception code that was not handled
Arg2: 0000000000000000, The address that the exception occurred at
