Solved Playing Lotro getting error 0x80041003

Hey. I've recently started playing Lord of the Rings Online and about 5-6 times a day my computer will crash to desktop or completely freeze (causing me to reboot).

I've checked my event log and this is what is says:

Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.

and in details/event data

//./root/CIMV2

Does anyone know how to fix this? It's starting to get really annoying.
I'm good at hardware but I'm completely blank when it comes to this.
Any help appreciated!

Ah, well ok. That's not related then. I still would like to figure out why the game freezes on me though. It's not heat, it's not an unstable OC. I play a lot of other games for hours without any problems. Could it be sound related? This is annoying. Game keeps freezing on me, sometimes for no apparent reason. Doesn't seem to have anything to do with huge load amounts.

I take it the fix did not help?

If it is just the one game, you may want to contact the developers to see if they have any suggestions. Freezing typically indicates hardware, but I would expect you to get the same behavior in other scenarios and not just in one game. There have been instances where a software program caused freezing in Windows 7. It is rare, but it does happen.

I've tried underclocking my cards to stock speeds as they were for some reason overclocked from factory although I bought the normal versions. Haven't had any problems so far, will see if it works.

Been playing five hours so far today, no freeze yet! It could also be luck of course. Let's pray for no freeze the next couple of days.

I noticed a couple of times when it froze before, that some green artifacts showed up just before it froze completely so I just downloaded afterburner to check if the clocks were at stock and for some reason they weren't. I swear I haven't overclocked it (I never overclock graphic cards).

Anyway, it's fine so far!

Afterburner is known to decrease stability of the system, as well, so be careful with it. If it is providing you with increased stability, though, I won't argue. :)

Just an update. Problem solved! Not a single freeze after underclocking the cards back to stock.
I had a 10-hour session yesterday, totally stable.
