BSOD when using Hauppauge 2250 TV Tuner
I was told this would be a better topic for my issue so this has been moved from another thread.
So I have a brand new (3 week old) desktop that i am trying to replace my cable with. I have an also brand new Hauppauge 2250 tuner I am trying to install on it. Every time I mange to get it installed it will run for a few minutes and then I get a BSOD of the IRQL not less or equal variety. When I run the BSOD check it seems to involve the hcw89.sys file and the ntoskrnl file which makes sense to me the hauppauge driver is not jiving with something in the windows system. I have used the BSOD upload application that was on this forum if someone were willing to look at it and let me know what i could possibly do to fix this issue. As nice as the guy from Dell support was his fix was just sending me a new card and from what I have read online and what I could decipher from my dump file it seems to be software related not hardware. This is my first time ever using a forum so if I have done anything incorrectly etiquette wise I apologize.
Look forward to your help!
I have attached my BSOD info.
p.s. I have also updated all my sound and video drivers and ran all my windows updates and used the most recent Hauppauge driver for windows 7 x64 on their website, with the same issue.
