BSOD thinking im low on memory when im not and other problems
I have a 2010 refurbished desktop i bought from cheetahdeals.com I only had it a week and yesterday i was running a program and it had to shut down cause it said i was low on memory, then later it blue screened on me and then blue screened again and i know it said something about memory on the blue screen
so i did this thinking it might help
*Based on Windows 7 Pro (as a example)
1- Rt Click the Computer icon, Properties
2- click on Advanced System Settings (top left area of window)
3- now on the Advanced tab, click the Settings button under performance
4- on the Performance Options window, choose the Advanced tab there
5- Click the Change button under Virtual Memory below
6- Choose Custom Size and set both Initial and Max memory to the Recommended amount as seen at the bottom of this Virtual Memory window. Then click the Set button there.
7- Click OK, Click Apply and Restart your computer so the new settings will take effect.
well today (tuesday) when i was running a game it blue screened again it said this time IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
I updated some drivers from acers website and downloaded some windows updates its been working fine no crashes when just on net and few things i dont want to test it untill i try all possible fixes, idk if it only crashes when i have a big program running or what.
my specs are
2010 acer desktop
windows 7 home premium
intel core i5 CPU 650 @ 3.20 GHz
memory RAM 6.00 GB
64 bit operating system
500 watt power supply
nvidia geoforce 9500 gt graphics card
