BSOD when attempting to sleep

Hello. I've had my new notebook for about a month now. I was thinking the problem may have to do with updates downloaded with the ASUS LiveUpdate program since this only became a problem yesterday.

I put my computer to sleep several times every day and this only started happening yesterday. Sometimes it takes a long period of time for it to sleep (5-10 min) and all the other times I get BSOD. I've only seen the screen once since I usually close the lid to sleep my computer so ive missed them. But it said something about a Power State Failure.

I've actually been trying to get it to crash again so I can post the error information to this thread but I have not been able to. Also, if it helps, I ran MSCONFIG-->Diagnostic Startup. When I slept my computer in this mode it still took an extended period of time to sleep but I've only tried it once.

The Revo Uninstaller cleans the left-over files also in most cases. You can download the 30 days trial for free. Uninstall Revo after use from the Control Panel after use if you so desire.

If it isn't listed we will do further debugging, to make sure we'll fix these problems you're experiencing. :)

I downloaded the REVO installer but I still cannot find the device driver. May I ask how you determined that this Techisat Driver was the problem? If this driver is unlisted I'm not sure it was on my computer to begin with, but you would probably know more than me.

It's likely that you have hidden files on your system. To show the hidden files, we'll do a little trick.

i) Control Panel
ii) Search for Folder Options
iii) Press Show hidden files and folders

From there there's an option that tricks the hidden Folder and Files option. Afterwards you can go to your C:\ and look for folders related to this Technisat driver.

For the information, can you please go to the root, system32\drivers\pci.sys, and see if the pci.sys actually exists.

Talking about hidden files you can't find, drivers acting weird, software you haven't downloaded- it all brings up the Malware topic.

I recommend a full scan with Malwarebytes, a very powerful tool we use. It can easily erase unwanted dll, drivers, and all that bad stuff.

Malwarebytes

Uninstall Malwarebytes after your use if you so desire.
