Random (?) BSODs · amdk8.sys, atikmdag.sys, halmacpi.dll

Getting (apparently) random BSODs since last week, seems to be linked mostly to amdk8.sys, atikmdag.sys and/or halmacpi.dll. They really are quite random in the sense that they don't seem to follow a pattern. Also, they seem to only happen when not really using the computer a lot, like simply browsing some websites. Just before the BSODs, things usually get awfully slow, starting with most processes until eventually the mouse also freezes and the computer, well, dies.

Windows 7 is:

32-bit
OEM or retail? Neither, MSDN AA. Which category does that actually fall into?
Hardware is around 6 years old now, except for the graphics card, which is rather new
OS installation is about 5 months old

Crashes point to your processor as the culprit. See STOP 0x101: CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT troubleshtg for your 0x101 BugCheck. It probably applies to the other BugChecks with amdk8.sys as well.

Let us know if you need help as you proceed with those troubleshooting steps.

Me again. I've followed quite a couple steps:

Cleaned the inside of the PC; temperatures improved after that, but weren't critical to begin with
Ran a couple stress tests like Prime95, for several hours even
Activated driver verifier

Nothing of that really did anything. Then again, I haven't had any more BSODs since I've posted here, until yesterday. I got one yesterday evening with DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and a bug check code of D1. Can't attach the dump right now as I'm writing this on another PC, but I'll be doing that as soon as I can.

What I've noticed: while the driver verifier was activated, I usually got a bluescreen when closing a certain online game, sometimes when starting it. Did a bit of research on that on my own, and it seems that the culprit here is XTrap, an anti-cheat solution used by some games. I also noticed that all my bluescreens were either happening because of that, or while having a browser with YouTube or another video streaming site open. Yesterday's was also happening after excess usage of YouTube. Could there be any connections?
