Random (?) BSODs · amdk8.sys, atikmdag.sys, halmacpi.dll
Getting (apparently) random BSODs since last week, seems to be linked mostly to amdk8.sys, atikmdag.sys and/or halmacpi.dll. They really are quite random in the sense that they don't seem to follow a pattern. Also, they seem to only happen when not really using the computer a lot, like simply browsing some websites. Just before the BSODs, things usually get awfully slow, starting with most processes until eventually the mouse also freezes and the computer, well, dies.
Windows 7 is:
- 32-bit
- OEM or retail? Neither, MSDN AA. Which category does that actually fall into?
- Hardware is around 6 years old now, except for the graphics card, which is rather new
- OS installation is about 5 months old
Attached system health report is in German (sorry!). If needed, I can probably translate whatever parts are important to you.
Thanks in advance~
