    BSOD after installing VGA driver

    Hey guys,

Here is my problem: when ever I install the VGA driver (any version of it- from the oldest to the newest) my laptop shows me a BSOD, each time with different messages (such as: page fault with non paged area, system service exception, memory management,...) Have you ever seen something like this, if so please help me with the solution.

I've even recovered it using the image disks which I've created when it was a brand new, but I still have the same problem.

All the mini dump files attached.

    Specs:
    Sony VAIO VPCEA4BGX
    OS: Windows 7 Professional X64
    CPU: core I5, 2.67 GHz
    RAM 4GB DDR3
VGA: ATI mobility Radeon HD 5470
    HDD: 500GB Samsung

Still looks like hardware to me. The last 10 memory dumps had 5 different BSOD error codes and blamed 4 different causes.

They (hardware errors) are usually caused by one of these things:
    - borked (broken) hardware (several different procedures used to isolate the problem device)
    - overclocking - You'll know if you're overclocking or not. If uncertain we can suggest things to check.
    - compatibility issues
    - low-level driver problems
    - or even malware (scanned for when we ask for hardware diagnostics from Initial Hardware Diagnostics or Hardware Diagnostics ).

Video drivers date from 2010 - I'd strongly suggest updating them from the Global Provider of Innovative Graphics, Processors and Media Solutions | AMD website (if available for your model).

Beyond that, I'd update/remove the programs associated with the older drivers (2009 and earlier) in the table below. There are links to information about the drivers below the table.

If the above steps don't stop the BSOD's, please zip up and upload any new memory dumps with your next post - and we'll see what we can figure out from there.

The following info is just FYI, I've already addressed the issues that I saw in the above paragraphs

    - Further info on BSOD error messages available at: http://www.carrona.org/bsodindx.html
    - Info on how to troubleshoot BSOD's (DRAFT): http://www.carrona.org/userbsod.html
