Windows 7: BSOD while using Google Chrome

I have recently received 2 BSOD's, both times while using Chrome. I don't know much else about this type of issue so I followed the BSOD posting instructions. Hope I did everything correctly!

Windows 7 Home Premium
- x64
- OEM
- Asus K52Jc
- i5 quad core CPU
- 8GB RAM

- Laptop and OS are approx. 1.5 years old (Purchased in Feb 2011)
- Never re-installed the OS

Software Concerns:

Do you have Comodo Internet Security and avast! installed, or is it Comodo Firewally only? I cannot tell from the reports. If you do have CIS and avast!, remove one or the other.

Analysis:

Crashes are network related. May be due to your realtime antivirus software if you have two programs that accomplish the same task. Two antivirus programs can cause conflicts due to accessing he same system resources simultaneously.

Thank you for your reply. I am running Comodo Firewall only and avast! for antivirus.

But since you mentioned it's network related, having just relocated we are temporarily using a 3G modem to access the internet. My wifes laptop is newer and has the ability to use the 3G modem and create a hotspot so we can access the internet at the same time. I am online through her laptop and she runs avast! as well. Could that be the issue?

I doubt it is avast! related based on what you describe. How are you connecting to the 3G modem? Wireless network? What wireless device are you using? USB or PCI/motherboard based?

We have a usb modem plugged into my wifes computer and she has a built in feature (Asus N53) that allows her to share that connection. I connect to her created connection via wireless. It's crazy slow but a good temporary solution as we wait for permanent installation.

See if you have the same troubles with avast! removed and Microsoft Security Essentials installed.

Wait and see whether the crashes happen again. If they do, please upload the crash reports again.

Also, once you are confident the problem is solved and crashes are no longer occurring, post back and mark the thread solved at that time.
