Hello
SSD Power tests done again but BSOD appeared 10 minutes after while I was using Google Chrome. Kindly let me know where to upload the report to Mike,
thanks, joe
Hi Mike
After Firmware update to 2.22 and repeated SSD Power tests I include the test result after the latest BSOD,
thanks for your continued help, joe
I have a busy rest of the day ahead of me so I can prepare for a meeting tomorrow morning. I will not be able to get to your reports until tomorrow morning. You are first on my priority list for tomorrow morning, though.
Thanks for understanding.
-Mike
Thanks Mike, I do understand,
all the best, joe
I decided to take a look early. Turns out you did not upload the full reports. Please follow the https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...tructions.html and use the jcgriff2 tool to gather all crash reports and logs.
Hi Mike
sorry to waste your time. Here are both reports, (I hope),
thanks for your patience, joe
Analysis:All crashes were the same as before, so I dug into your error report logs:It appears you are having some issues with your Intel storage drivers. I would not be surprised if that was related to your problem.Code:02/07/2012 16:59 Application Error Faulting application name: IAStorDataMgrSvc.exe, version: 10.0.0.1046, time stamp: 0x4c8ecfbe Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x74b46c9c Faulting process id: 0x1258 Faulting application start time: 0x01cd587367526aa2 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology\IAStorDataMgrSvc.exe Faulting module path: unknown Report Id: 3f7a838a-c467-11e1-b731-e06995f4b44cAs you can see, your storage drivers are nearly two years old. I know there are more up to date versions than that.Code:iaStor.sys Mon Sep 13 19:23:32 2010 (4C8ECE94)
- Go to Intel® Driver Update Utility,
- run the utility,
- click on the link for Chipset Family,
- scroll down and select Standard Version.
- There is a page that loads with information on other Intel drivers for your system including Intel storage drivers. You may have to let it load for 10-15 seconds before it displays your particular drivers link.
- Go to that link, download the drivers, and install them.
Hi Mike
thanks, I installed the Intel storage drivers as suggested and restarted W7. I opened the Intel Rapid Storage management utility and clicked 'System Report'. There followed 3 BSOD screens. One suggested disable caching and shadowing- can you comment on that please?
I had to use Startup repair to return to Windows at which point Windows reported "OCZ driver installed successfully".
What would suggest to you that their might be a fault with the SSD itself after all these tests and updates?
thanks for your patience, joe
You're welcome, and no worries. :)
There may be an option in your BIOS to disable memory shadowing and caching. Have you checked to see if doing so helps?
Also, do you have any 3rd party backup software installed? If so, remove it to test.
If you need help with your BIOS settings, please fill in your system specs in your profile and not in a post in this thread: System Info - See Your System Specs
