Bsod happening every so often (POOL_CORRUPTION_IN_FILE_AREA).

Sometimes I would get a BSOD while randomly surfing on the net...And sometimes for some strange reason, I would usually get a BSOD while having two tabs open on google chrome that were both on a youtube video.

    Basic info:
    -x64
-Windows 7 is not the original installed os on the system, Windows xp is.
    -Full retail

-The PC is around 5-6 years old.
-The current OS is around 2-3 years old I believe, I've reinstalled it if I remember correctly.

I've had this problem for a long time, since while I've been on Windows XP also, I've ignored it until now since it didn't happen so often. It still doesn't happen so often, but I've decided to try to fix it.

Since the BSOD has been happening on even when I was on Windows XP, could it be a hardware problem?

Thanks in advance guys, and please let me know if you need any additional info!

    Hello,

The dump blames AVG, which is a year out of date. Uninstall that and install the latest version, see if that doesn't help things.

Also, install the latest nForce package to update your network adapter drivers: Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers
    Code:
    nvm62x64.sys Fri Oct 17 17:01:06 2008 (48F8FD12)
If the BSODs persist after that, please create a new BSOD report and post back here.
