BSOD's on new Ivy Bridge system, both in and out of games.

    Hey all,

Recently built a new system for gaming, been having BSOD's both in and out of games. I have my dump files and system health report attached.

    System info:

    - ASUS Z77 Sabertooth Motherboard
    - Intel i7 3770k CPU
    - ASUS GTX 670 TOP GPU
    - Corsair AX 850 PSU
    - Corsair Vengeance 16GB Dual channel kit
    - Samsung 256GB 830 Series SSD
    - Samsung 500GB HDD

    OS info:

    - Windows 7 Ultimate Retail
    - New install with system (less than a month old)

Well I think that's about it. I really have no idea what's going on so any help will be much appreciated.

    Louis.

    Hi,

No dumps are listed in the file. Please check that windows is set up to create a Kernel memory dump. Dump Files - Configure Windows to Create on BSOD

Ah Ok, I used the other program but didn't include the actual .DMP file I think. I looked in C:\Windows for the Memory.DMP but even zipped it's 116MB! Am I looking at the wrong file? Is there another way to upload it?

OK, is the system now set up to create a Kernel Memory Dump?

The Memory.DMP is a full system dump which we don't need, it is far to large to upload as you have found. If the system is now set up to create Kernel Dumps, it will create smaller 'minidumps' which the BSOD collection program will find. Therefore, you need to wait until you have another few BSOD's so there will be some minidumps to find/upload. Make sense?
