Programs Closing due to APPCRASH

Recently my computer has been force closing applications like Photoshop and Windows Explorer. It usually happens when I right click in Explorer or try to open anything in Photoshop. When it happens, a dialogue box comes up that says "Windows Explorer has stopped working" or "Adobe Photoshop has stopped working." Under the details it displays this information:

How should I go about solving this issue? I have also ran my Norton Scan and come up with no spyware or viruses.

Thank you,
Bhultin

Initial troubleshooting steps for Explorer related issues:
  • Check Windows for corruption. Run SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker up to three times to fix all errors with a restart in between each. Post back if it continues to show errors after a fourth run or if the first run comes back with no integrity violations. Use OPTION THREE of SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker to provide us with the sfcdetails.txt file if errors occur.

  • I am glad to see you ran a virus scan; the problem you describe is often associated with viruses/malware on the system. You should also download and install Malwarebytes, update it, do not start the free trial, and then run a full scan.

  • Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup and see if a startup or service item is causing conflicts. When you disable startup and services items, make sure you hide all non-Microsoft services first. Leave only your Norton software set to start in both startup and services.

  • Check your Administrative logs for errors and warnings:
    1. Click Start Menu
    2. Type eventvwr into Search programs and files (do not hit enter)
    3. Right click eventvwr.exe and click Run as administrator
    4. Expand Custom Views
    5. Click Administrative Events

  • Provide us with more information by following the http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...tructions.html which will give us your system and application logs and any errors within those logs. Those instructions are helpful with more than just blue screen crashes.
