| Windows 7: Seemingly random BSOD's when using graphic applications |

Seemingly random BSOD's when using graphic applications Title says a lot, doesn't it? My PC encounters a lot of BSOD's when playing games or doing extensive graphics tasks. Blacklight retribution for one. Everytime I start up this game it crashes.
At first I suspected the memory, althrough I haven't done a lot of passes memtest86+ reports it as fine, running a graphics memory tester crashed the system. So I replace the graphics card.
I used to run a nVidia GTX460, and I replace it with a Sapphire Radeon HD7850 2GB edition.
There are absolutely NO OVERCLOCKS on the system and it has the following specs:
GA-P55-UD3 (rev 1.0) motherboard
Intel i7-870 CPU
ATI HD7850 graphics card 2gb
8GB ram, 4 sticks in 2 matching pairs
OCZ-Vertex SSD and an 1TB hdd
That's about it, I've included the minidumps in the attachments. One important thing to mention is that it's always 0x124 error code in the BSOD's.
One more thing: The new graphics card has been installed today (14th of July) so any error dump from before that day related to the graphics card would be useless. After the install of the new graphics card the system does seem more stable though. Most applications work now, except for Blacklight: Retribution, I've not encountered any others yet.
The newest install of windows was about half a year ago, and the system hardware age is about 1,5 years old.
Thanks in advance for any help. | My System Specs |
