BSOD: Variable frequency, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL among other things
Hi,
I have been getting infrequent BSODs since the last 4 days. At times I don't even get a BSOD for 20 hours straight, at times I get 4-5 in a span of 20 minutes.
I have tried running the scan from various anti virus (AVG, Zone Alarm) and I didn't find anything. I also ran the In-depth Seagate test for hard disk drives and the deep Memtest and the Windows Memory Diagnostic Test for RAM but all of these were pass.
I am not a very technically proficient person (quite the contrary in fact) so I was not able to figure out the exact error message in most cases. However, in 2-3 instances I noticed that I was getting "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" on the blue screen; bug check with value of 0x0000000A.
I have attached the required dump files, the Perfmon report and the jcgriff2 folder in the zipped file.
The following are my laptop specs:
Original OS: Windows Vista
Received an Upgrade CD from the laptop manufacturer, so upgraded the OS to Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
Machine: Soy Vaio VGN-CS320J, ~2.5 years old
Last installed OS date: April 2012 (My system was facing some issues, so had to reformat the Windows through the Windows CDs which were supplied by Sony)
Please help.
Thanks,
